Animal box office Day 8: Ranbir Kapoor’s film eyes Rs 400 crore in India

Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ is doing phenomenal business. The film, which was released to mixed reviews, is unstoppable at the box office. Day 8 early estimates suggest that the film is steadily heading towards Rs 400 crore in India.


‘Animal’ was one of the most-anticipated films of 2023. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film clashed at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’. However, ‘Animal’ has been earning more since Day 1.

On Day 7, ‘Animal’ earned Rs 24.23 crore in India. Day 8 early estimates suggest that the film minted Rs 23.50 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 361.08 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ had an overall 29.41 per cent occupancy in theatres.


‘Animal’ had a worldwide theatrical release on December 1, 2023. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Rannvijay, is described as a man who is ruthless and ambitious, willing to go to any lengths to achieve his goals. The story delves into the tumultuous relationship between a father and son. When Ranvijay learns about an assassination attempt on his father Balbir Singh, he sets out to exact revenge. The film also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri and Bobby Deol in significant roles.

‘Animal’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga under T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. The film has music composed by JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson and Harshwardhan Rameshwar, cinematography handled by Amit Roy and editing by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It has a runtime of 201 minutes (3 hours 21 minutes).
