‘Congress displaying sexist mindset’: Kangana Ranaut over Supriya Shrinate’s remarks

Controversy erupted on Monday after an objectionable post on Kangana Ranaut was shared on Congress leader Supriya Shrinate’s Instagram account.

Later, in a video message posted on X, Shrinate claimed that the social media post, which has since been taken down, was made by someone who had access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Slamming Congress for their derogatory remarks against her, Ranaut said, “Congress is displaying their sexist mindset. Women in every profession deserve respect. Congress should not sexualise the holy town of Mandi.”

Amid backlash from BJP leaders on the matter, Congress slammed the actor for calling actor Urmila Matondkar, who had earlier joined and quit Congress, a “soft porn star”.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has written a letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI) demanding immediate and strict action on those who abused actor-politician Kangana Ranaut.
