An FIR has been filed against Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair for using alleged derogatory language on Twitter. He has been taken to Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur in connection with the case. The chargesheet in the case was filed on Monday, following which Mohammed Zubair was produced in the court.

The FIR was registered in June against Zubari for using alleged derogatory language against Mahant Bajrang Muni Udasin, Rashtriya Sanrakshak of Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena along with Yati Narsinghanand and Swami Anand Swaroop.

The development came after Delhi court had dismissed the bail plea of Mohammed Zubair and sent him to 14-day judicial custody in a case related to a 2018 “objectionable tweet”.

WHAT DOES THE FIR SAY?

The FIR says, “Mohammed Zubair addressed the manager of holy shrine, and patron of national hindu sher sena, Mahant Bajrang Muni Ji with abusive words like hate mongres. On Twitter, Zuber also humiliated Yati Narsimhanand Saraswati and Swami Anand Swaroop.”

“It was done deliberately under a well thought out conspiracy to spread hatred in the society and to create Muslim disputes and to attack the religious sentiments of Hindus. Due to this rash act, there is anger and dissatisfaction among all of us Hindus,” it read.

Mohammad Zubair was taken to Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh on behalf of a production warrant regarding a case registered against him at the Khairabad police station. The production warrant was issued by the UP court as the police filed a chargesheet in a case registered on June 1.

The FIR was registered after a complaint was filed by Bhagwan Sharan, district head of Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena, under sections 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
