India registers 89 new COVID-19 cases, active cases stand at 1,771

New Delhi: With the COVID-19 pandemic slowly fading out, India’s daily COVID-19 cases stand at 89 in the last 24 hours. While the active cases in the country stand at 1,771, which is 0.01 per cent, a health bulletin from the Union Health Ministry stated.

A total of 91.33 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far; 74,320 tests conducted in last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate is 0.07 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.08 per cent.

“India has administered 220.59 crore total vaccine doses (95.19 crore second doses and 22.82 crore precaution doses) of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 1,34,455 doses were administered in the last 24 hours,” the statement added.

Also, 135 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,41,51,027. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.81 per cent.
