‘Sarkar bhi badla hai, mijaaz bhi,’ says PM Modi on completion of Bundelkhand e-way before time

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bundelkhand Expressway today, July 16. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditayanath welcomed PM Modi in Jalaun.

The expressway has been built six months before the designated time and at an estimated cost of 14,850 crore. The expressway, built in 28 months, is a 296-km long expressway with four lanes.

With the inauguration of a new expressway, the distance of 630 km between Delhi and Chitrakoot could be covered in just 6 hours.

While addressing the public at the inaugural ceremony, Modi opened his speech with “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and congratulated the people of Bundelkhand for the expressway.

“This expressway will not only facilitate the people of Bundelkhand to reach Delhi, but will also accelerate industrial development,” said PM Modi.

With the construction of Bundelkhand Expressway, the journey to Delhi will become easier for the people of Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur and Jalaun Auraiya or Etawa.

More than 250 small bridges, more than 15 flyovers, 6 toll plazas and more than 12 major bridges and 4 rail bridges have been built on this expressway. 24-hour police patrolling and ambulance facilities will also be made available.

PM Modi further added that the Uttar Pradesh government improved the law & order situation and connectivity.

“We improved both the law & order situation and connectivity in UP. The law & order situation is improving, so is connectivity,” PM Modi said while inaugurating Bundelkhand Expressway.

“The expressway will ensure seamless connectivity and further economic progress in the region. With this expressway, there will be an industrial boom in the region. It is the Modi and Yogi government we will bring development not just to cities but to villages,” the Prime Minister added.

PM Modi also praised CM Yogi Aditayanath’s leadership and said that under Yogi’s leadership, UP is seeing major transformation with better law and order, fast-improving connectivity.

Speaking about completing the expressway before time, the PM said, “We follow our deadlines. Delhi-Meerut expressway’s foundation stone was laid by us and inaugurated by us. The same happened with the Bundelkhand expressway as well. It was to be opened in February next year but we not only achieved our deadline but crossed it.”

“Earlier big cities had first right on modern means of transport but that’s not the case as this is Modi, this is Yogi,” said the PM in Bundelkhand.

Modi further added that “Sarkar bhi badla hai, mijaaz bhi badla hai or hum naye tareeke se aage badh rhe hai (Every corner of Uttar Pradesh is moving forward with new dreams in a new mood as this is a new government).”
