Vijay Sethupathi is basking in the success of his recently released film, Vikram, which also starred Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Now, the actor has landed a biggie in his career. Sources in the film’s camp told IndiaToday.in that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which is directed by Atlee. He will join the shoot in the coming weeks.

VIJAY SETHUPATHI TO PLAY THE VILLAIN IN JAWAN

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most celebrated stars in India. Recently, it was reported that he is in talks to play one of the villains in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule.

A new development suggests that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play a crucial role in Atlee’s Jawan. A source told IndiaToday.in that the Vikram actor has agreed to be part of the film. “Since Sethupathi is one of the busiest actors in India, dates are now being worked out. Soon, he will join the film’s sets in Mumbai for the shooting. An announcement will be made at the right time,” added the source.

On this note, an old video of Shah Rukh Khan praising Vijay Sethupathi is now going viral on social media. In the video, SRK can be heard saying, “I don’t know how to say this and I want to compliment you. You are the most wonderful actor I have ever seen in my life.”

Jawan is a commercial entertainer written and directed by Atlee. The film will hit the theatres on June 2, 2023 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. Priyamani, Yogi Babu, Simarjeet Singh Nagra, Sunil Grover and Manahar Kumar are part of the supporting cast.
