Waiting for decades: AR Rahman, Prabhudheva to reunite after 25 years. Fans react


AR Rahman and Prabhudheva, known for their hit collaborations in the late 90s, are set to team up again after a hiatus of 25 years. The project is currently named ‘ARRPD6’ and will be directed by Manoj MS. The title poster of the film was revealed on March 22.

The film, produced by Behindwoods, boasts a star-studded cast including Yogi Babu, Aju Varghese, Arjun Ashokan, Dr Santhosh Jacob, Sushmitha Nayak, Motta Rajendran, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Singam Puli, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, and Redin Kingsley.

Anoop Shylaja will serve as the cinematographer while Raymond Derick Crsta will edit the film.

The collaboration has left fans excited. One of the users commented, “Wow, fantabulous update. Been waiting for decades for this combo. kudos to director n producer for bringing them together again (sic).

The duo’s first project together was ‘Gentleman’ with Prabhudheva’s special appearance in the song ‘Chikku Bukku Railae’. Their first full project was ‘Kadhalan’, with popular tracks like ‘Pettai Rap’ and ‘Take It Easy Orvasi’. They later collaborated on ‘Love Birds’, ‘Mr Romeo’, and ‘Minsara Kanavu’, with all albums being chartbusters.

Prabhudheva is also currently working on Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘The Greatest of All Time‘.
