Watch: Tejashwi Yadav spotted playing cricket after PM’s ‘get fit’ advice

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav was seen playing cricket on Sunday afternoon and sweating it out on the field on Sunday. RJD leader seems to have taken Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice to ‘lose a little weight’ pretty seriously, as he was seen losing some calories while playing cricket at his residence.

Tejashwi Yadav posted a video on Sunday of him playing cricket inside 10, Circular Road bungalow, the official residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi where he stays.

“Life or game, one should always play to win. The more you plan in head, the more you perform on field. Pleasure to try hands on bat & ball after ages. It becomes more satisfying when driver, cook, sweeper, gardener & care takers are your playmates and keen to hit & bowl you out,” the leader wrote on Twitter.

In the video, Tejashwi can be seen both batting and bowling with the driver, cook, sweeper, gardener and care takers of the bungalow.

‘LOSE A LITTLE WEIGHT’, PM MODI TO TEJASHWI

Interesting, on July 12, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Patna to participate in the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of Bihar Legislative Assembly, he had remarked and advised Tejashwi to lose some weight. It seems that the RJD leader has taken the PM’s advice seriously and has begun to lose some calories.

PM Modi gave advice to Tejashwi after he gave a speech at the closing ceremony of the Bihar Legislative Assembly centenary celebration. PM Modi’s advice to lose weight was made after the event when Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi along with other leaders came to see the prime minister off.

The prime minister also asked Tejashwi about the health of his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad.

Notably, Tejashwi had played his junior cricket for Delhi and was part of the Delhi Daredevils squad in 2008-09. He also represented Jharkhand, where he played several matches and also had a hundred in junior cricket. When his cricketing career failed to take off, Tejashwi entered politics and began to accompany his father Lalu Prasad Yadav during rallies.
