West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose launches ‘Log Sabha’ portal to address grievances during elections

West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose launched the ‘Log Sabha’ portal to address the grievances of people during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The public can directly connect with the governor on this portal through the dedicated email address logsabha.rajbhavankolkata@gmail.com and their grievances and suggestions will be acted upon immediately.

On the day the Lok Sabha elections were announced, the Governor started his first ground zero visit by going to a school in Howrah, which is a conventional polling booth. He didn’t take his motorcade, but travelled in a Toto (e-rickshaw) and interacted with people along the way.

Governor Bose said that his priority during the parliament elections would be to “put down” violence and corruption during the elections. The people of West Bengal deserve peace and transparency in elections, he added.

Notably, the Governor had opened a “Peace Room” in the Raj Bhavan to address grievances from the public during the Panchayat elections in the state last year. The Governor was accessible throughout the day over telephone and e-mail during that time. His motorcade, ‘Mobile Raj Bhavan’ hit the streets before 6 am in the days leading up to the Panchayat polls to ensure that there was no violence before the elections.
