The Madras High Court has refused to stall the AIADMK general council meeting in Chennai on Monday, July 11. Justice Krishnan Ramasamy rejected a plea by O Panneerselvam to stall the meeting where the agenda would be to revive the interim general secretary post and abolish coordinator as well as joint coordinator posts.
With the HC’s decision, Palaniswami is likely to take over the reins of the party.
