Speaker told me there is no such restriction: Sharad Pawar on no protest in Parliament order

AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, on Friday, shared an order by the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha, PC Mody, on Twitter stating that members cannot use the precincts of Parliament House for any dharna.

Reacting to the latest order that stated that no dharna will be allowed in Parliament, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said that there is no such restriction.

“We have received a statement from Parliament speaker that there is no such restriction. Leaders of all political parties will sit together tomorrow in Delhi and discuss,” Sharad Pawar said in Nagpur.

AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, on Friday, shared an order by the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha PC Mody on Twitter. He captioned the image as “Vishguru’s latest salvo — D(h)arna Mana Hai!”

The order by PC Mody read, “Members cannot use the precincts of Parliament House for any demonstration, dharna, strike, fast, or for the purpose of performing any religious ceremony.”
